Howard University junior architecture major and president of Words and Rhythms Productions (WARP), Luis “Lue” Laguer recently released his video “The World Is” on January 29.
Produced by Penelope Airplane, the video was shot in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. Â The song is the first single off his upcoming mixtape “R3d Version” which will be released February 29. Â The mixtape will feature several other Howard artists, including Young Blaize, Precise, Ivan Michaels, and MPH.
“I wanted to create a mixtape that people could relate to, wanted to listen to, and made people think,” explained Laguer. Â “I feel like what they play on the TV and radio is the watered down version of hip hop and my music is there to revitalize hip hop and its culture.”
